The portal leveraged modern web technologies to provide a fully web-based data view, accessing and processing information stored in the backend ERP application.
Key features included periodic auto-fetching of selected data, intermediate data caching for faster access, and a RESTful web interface for displaying various entities. Moreover, the portal allowed filtering of data based on user accounts, enabling personalized views for different stakeholders. It also offered fully customizable data views, including the personalization of columns, with persistent settings for user preferences.
Asynchronous data processing was implemented to efficiently build different views, and the system was designed to query multiple databases simultaneously to generate comprehensive reports within a single view.
